Can Columbus Finally Win In Nashville?

November 21st, 2009 | by sweetbob |

It’s been a long time since Columbus has won in Nashville. The Predators have owned the Blue Jackets their last 11 games at the Sommet Center. The reason for these losses is due to their good defense on Rick Nash. Although the last few contests, Nash has been able to score a few points, but they usually do a great job on him. Can the Blue Jackets sneak out a win this year? Also can Steve Mason shake off a few bad starts and start playing consistently?

Steve Mason is in goal tonight since Mathieu Garon’s lifetime records against Nashville is 0-4 with a bad save percentage. Mason has to step up and keep the score low if the Blue Jackets wish to win this game. They are on a three-game winning streak, with their last win coming in Dallas with an impressive 4-1 score. I believe Pekke Rinne will be in the net for Nashville. He’s currently 13-8 with a 2.38 Goals Against Average and 2 shutouts. It will be hard getting goals passed him tonight, he’s been pretty solid at home.

The game is tonight at 8pm EST in Nashville, follow me on Twitter, I’ll be active on there. My Twitter handle is Sweetbob, hope to see your tweets about the game tonight.
